one of my fail points was lack of radius on the edge on my reflectors.

from what i can see there is no size requirements of the reflectors? my local motor factors sells some trailer reflectors that are oval, are a nice domed shape and about 10mm x 40mm.

will they be okay or is there a min max size?

could you just file the corners down? or rub them down with wet and dry paper or something?
