The cheapo rear lights that many people fit (Lolocost/RH maybe?) have reflectors set in the middle.

i just fitted these slim reflectors

Our reflectors fell off. We didn't replace them and this has never been picked up by the MOT testers in the two MOT's we've had so far. They just add unnecessary weight.
