Just make up your own chassis number! Way easier!

I went to Chelmsford with my own number, no problem

I wrote a letter to maidstone Dvla on monday this week and the good ladie rang me this morning and confirmed my own chassis number, she checked it on the computor while talking to me on the phone and the ladie she say YES yuo can stamp it into your chassis that will be fine, She also said when i get a date for my SVA to ring her and she will arrange a time to check engine and chassis numbers with her.

Same approach for me too but at Stockton. by writing a letter and getting call back you also have their direct number which can be useful.

I rang Manchester and after a couple attempts dealing with monkeys I got through to one of the inspectors. Said I could make one up but to be aware of using certain ones that might upset certain companies or else he's make one up and check it was all fine first. Got it in the post yesterday
