Got home last night and there is my SVA appoinment on the door mat. A week next Monday!!
I only sent the forms back with receipts on Monday!!
Now i'm getting gittery and have lists of things to organise constantly going through my head.
It's so bad I was awake writing lists of things to do at 3:45 this morning!!
Still fingers crossed.

More time doing it and less time on here. My problem too.

can you manage to take the car somewhere like a private road for some shake down miles? even a grass field would be handy
Relax. Just get done what you can and enjoy the test. Is it Manchester (Chadderton)?
adrian
No going to Shrewsbury. I guess it's fear of the unknown.
Strange I didn't expect to feel so nervous about testing it.
Car looks great, nice neat build which from my experiances the examiners seem to like.
Enjoy the experiance and lets keep our fingers crossed for fair weather.
The weather is what i'm worried about most.
It's being transported to the test on a vehicle transporter with a car cover but if it rains heavily during the test I can see me ending up with
a four wheel bath!!
Thought of taking a large golf brolly to put over the seating area like I've seen at shows, you never know the examiner may be grateful for the
consideration and giv e me extra marks
Most of the test is conducted inside so dont worry about the rain too much. The only bits done outside are the mirrors check and quick nip around the
car park to check self-centring etc so only 10 - 15 mins or so from memory.
You'll be fine anyway (although i'd move the brake line brackets on the front to the outside of the chassis if i was you - the more i think
about it the more i think its going to fail and be harder to fix on the day)
Well from what few pics you have it looks nicely built. That tells the examiner you have put love and attention to detail into the build. Rather than
a shove it together anyoldway.
Look at it like this, if it fails, it will give you a definative list of jobs that need doing for a pass.
Its no big deal, and the examiners are usually really nice guys.
When you are there...Dont be a know it all, as THEY do know it all!.
I asked loads of questions and came away with a lot more knowlege.
They will be firm but fair.
Remember they ofen have to have a tea break, so you have an opportunit to tweak bits whilst they are not watching.
By the rules you cannot do any work or tweaking on their site.
Mine told me of a couple of iffy bits, then said... "We are off for a tea break for 15 mins" I asked if I could fix it, they said "We
are off for a tea break for 15 mins"
So I took the hint, as they cant say yes do it! They will bend the rules as best they can, but will not break them.
Afterall its all about safety, and I want my car to be safe for me and others on the road.
Dont Panic... its all part of the ride!
Enjoy the day out.
When I was on the motorway and having no number plates at all, it gave me a "smug bastard grin" when I passed a police car!
They didnt even stop me.
Like I said... its all part of the build experience. just enjoy it!
