Hi all
Does anyone know what the actual shut off point is for the year of engine, before they slap the cat emmissions on the engine.
I know it pre 1991 but has anyone got a more precise date????????????

Thanks in advance
Regards BILL

Normal tin tops are 92-93 roundabout a K onwards. So our emissions thingy at work tells us

Correct for petrol kitcars under SVA rule 18.11.b

For Tintops it's 1st August 1992 if they are in the “In Service Exhaust Emissions Standards for Road Vehicles” publication which MOT testers use (I believe) Section 18.11.a of the SVA manual.
