Being only 24, im forever getting done up the back passage when it comes to insuring any car!what ball park figure can i expect to insure a 2 litre pinto engine with twin webbers?doing only 3000 miles per year!i ddid read somewhere that you have to be 25 before i can insure a locost!
you can insure anything for the right price.
I expect you to pay 500 this year and 300 next year, without knowing your history. I paid 280 odd for my bec at 27.
Fancy insuring a Pinto engine!! I wouldnt bother till you have fitted it into a car myself!!

Plenty have insured cars at 21 anyway so ring around the usual suspects - try a search here for similar threads (and if its a 2nd car then maybe add
an older driver - maybe with you as the 2nd named driver!!).
Im 24 and have a policy on a R1 stuart taylor which cost me £300. The policy is with sureterm and is fully comp, 3000 miles and an agreed value in
case anything happens!! I think you will expect to pay about £200 for a pinto from what the insurers were saying when I phoned up. HTH

I'm 23 with tweaked 2 litre pinto, my last renewal was £475 with adrian flux, limited to 3000 miles.
They arent fussed what mods the engine has...
David
im with footman and james £370 for a £15k vaulation 2 litre mnr im 25.
I'm worried about this too, im still building, but insuring anything when you're 20 and a bloke is a quick way of emptying my bank balance!! My 1.1 106 (with all of 50bhp) costs me £450, i recently got offered a low mileage 300zx for less than a grand but the lowest insurance i could find was nearly £3k! I can't wait to be old!
