quick release boss and sva
is there any isues with the sva and a modified to suit sierra column and quick release boss.

My tester was concerned that it would be possible to remove the wheel whilst the engine was running. Mine was a snap-off system and he eventually
passed it cos I could lock the steering wheel on the boss and the key for it was welded onto a ring with the ignition key, so with the key in the
ignition, you couldn't unlock it. Obviously this is nowhere near a foolproof solution and he advised that in future he wouldn't pass this
arrangement (Shrewsbury)

SVA requires that a security device that acts on the steering cannot be operated whilst the engine is running. I fuess most people would say that a
snap-off wheel falls under this requirement.

Its alot easier to SVA/IVA without and modify all you want after 
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

ive also got a quick release and my idea to get round the prob is to use a magnet from a loud speaker,machine it in the lathe so it fits on to the end
of the boss the have a reed switch mounted on the column conected to the ignision so only when the wheel/boss is fitted the engine will run
