V55/4 vs V55/5

I've been sent a V55/5 by the local DVLA, but hear mention of V55/4 being used?

Is there a difference?

James

V55/5 if your using donor parts. You'll get either an age related plate if you've got enough donor bits or a Q reg'.

V55/4 if your going for a new reg' with all new (major) components (except one which can be "recon' as new" part). If they decide against the new plate then you get a Q.

Order the registration pack over the phone from DVLA swansea. Mine arrived next day I think. It comes with both forms. You'll also need V637/1 (link in sticky thread).
