SVA photos

when you send off the paperwork for sva, do you need a photo of the finished item? or can you get by with just the build pics? just wanting to get my paperwork off asap

Just build pics, they are there to prove the vehicle is amatuer built, not that it is finished to any standard - that is what the SVA is for.

you need to send signed photocopies of receipts AND the photos AND the amatuer built declaration

My read is that build photos are not needed if the receipts are sufficient proof of the fact that you have built it yourself. I am testing this assumption as my forms have gone in without build photos but with the ABD and the receipt copies.

Send photos if you have them... why risk delaying things by having to send them again.

I forgot to sign photocopies, and they didnt ask for them again.. which was a result. Think it really depends on who looks at them and how much info you have there... DONT forget donor V5 if you have one !!!

Sent mines with all my photocopied reciepts ( and I mean all) sigend with the statement "certified copy" complete with 3 A4 pages of 9 per page photo's and a cd rom. Covering letter saying that I did not know how much to send so erred on the side of " here is all the information I have on the car please find attached a cd rom with all 300 plus photo's and drawings wordfiles etc etc"
They processed and sent back my cd rom along with a letter saying details had been forwarded to Sva test station for arrangement of a date.
My logic was here's every scrap of information I have don't ask for any more.
