WOW that was quick (vosa)
I sent my forms off to VOSA on monday, second class post, and got home today and there was a letter from them saying that my date of 11th of march is
booked!! Thats rather speedy of them.
Now all i need to do is get the car finished.
But now i have a date to work to

DVLA(registration) or VOSA(sva)?

i sent mine special delivery and had a reply in a similar time frame.
Its not very often a government agency get it right - so praise where it is due.

Hmmm..
Still waiting for a reply from VOSA for SVA date. Sent off forms 10 days ago. Checked my bank account and noticed they've already cashed the
cheque though! (That was on the 29th Jan so maybe I'm being a little impatient just yet!)
