SVA Application Refusal

Just heard from a mate of mine, a Westfield owner/builder/ modifier, of the seemingly higher numbers of applications being returned from VOSA for additional information that appear to be unjustified. Is this common and is it that they are trying to delay things and get more people to go through IVA? I put copies of invoices for the major components with my application and they say I need more. What can I do if I have already given them all I have and what they asked for? Major components, steel for chassis, steel for suspension, invoice for donor vehicle, wheels, different engine as I didnt use the donor vehicle and a variety of others, some that actually had the DVLA stamp on them from when the vehicle was police checked for the chassis number.

Did you mean this to be in the "For Sale " section?

I would ring them and ask what they want

If that's not enough I'm going to be in trouble because I've less than you.

You don't suppose it's due to the high number of vehicles that this certain individual is submitting do you?

Your rather extensive list of details seems to indicate the thoroughness and therefore the maybe a decent profit margin involved. Therefore, making it more likely he can afford a higher cost (?) IVA..?

Thinking logically about it, there is a list you have to tick about what bits you have personally assembled - I think suspension, axle, chassis, steering, engine and gearbox is on there. These are obviously the bits they consider to be the main componants.

Maybe they want a receipt for each one of what they consider to be the main componants?

Seems reasonable.

I have listed this thread again as I put it in For Sale bit first BUT an invoice for the donor vehicle should suffice for the major components that come from it or do they want me to tell them exactly what components plus my other invoices? Seems Jobsworth to me.

well how do they know the donor came complete?

I just wrote a nice letter explaining everything in the envelope, the fact it was bought part built, what was included in the part built sale etc.

I find if you make someones job as easy as possible by doing a little extra yourself, then things usually go well. as it becomes more effort for them to be picky than to accept it.
