Help with IVA forms

Hi, after doing a search i see the questions i am abot to ask have been asked before but no replys to answer the questions, so thought i would ask again on the off chance

A quick lo down on my build, its an MK Indy with a 06 yamaha R1 engine with a 3.38 sierra diff and drive shafts.

Basically im filling in my IVA forms and have got to the section

(3o) "what is the design road speed of the vehicle ?" Im not really to sure what this would be for the MK?

The next question is (3p) "what is the engine maximum power and the engine speed at which it is obtained?" again not sure what to put here?

(3q) What are the design weights of the vehicle?

(3c) What is the date of manufacture? was thinking of putting the date of when i get my vin number from DVLA?

Any help advice will be much appriciated
Greg

first you need to know what your tires are rated at they will have a zr or soemthing on the side wall, basically if your top speed is more than the rated tires then you will fail, i have a gsxr 1000 k5 and put 130 my tires will do 150+

for the power of your bike, type it in google and it will say for example 178 bhp

for the engine speed you want to find where it produces maximum torque about 6800rpm

the design weight are on a sheet i got from mk i can send you them tom

date of manufacture just put last month or todays date

Not quite, it's asking for the engine speed at which it makes max power not max torque, should be somewhere around 11K on an R1.

A big thanks to both of you for replying really was struggling to get my head around this, but is becoming clearer!

I have done a search for my engine and it shows 126.0 KW 12500 rpm
172.58 bhp

I will look at my tyres tomorrow for the max speed rating, I was also thinking of putting 130 mph for max speed as it will be limited by the diff id have thought?

tom any chance you could send on those weights from that sheet

thanks again
