DVLA Registration- Wimbledon
Before I head off to Wimbledon tomorrow to attempt to register the kit I was hoping for a little advice as after looking at the paperwork and a lot of
threads on here, Im a bit confused on the process and what forms to fill in and what else I may need to hand in receipts/photos/IVA Pass? and hoping
someone may be able to shed some light on the process.
I'm hoping for a New Reg although reading the forum It looks doubtful. I bought a Donor pack for the sierra from MK themselves and they never
sent the V5 although I did ask and chase them for it when I first bought the kit.
I am now using New sierra Hubs I have a receipt for, New Prop I have a receipt for, Reconditioned diff no receipt, Reconditioned Drive shafts Receipt,
New brakes receipt, Reconditioned R1 engine/gearbox Receipt, New suspension and new chassis with kit no specific receipt but MK overall receipt. In
fact the only parts i'm using from that original donor pack is The master cylinder Steering rack and Column.
If I go for a Q plate whats the process Involved in that, is it a harder route I would like to be on the road as soon as possible

There's 2 registration forms
V55/5 if you want an age related reg or Q Plate. Yoiu need the V5/vin plate from the donor to get the age related.
V55/4 for a new plate . You need ALL new major parts except one which can be "reconditioned as new".
You'll need to fill in form V267 Declaration of newness and provide reciepts (not copies) to get the new plate. If you fail you'll be
given a Q (no possibility of an age related once you use V55/4)
You'll also need in both cases...
V627/1 Built up inspection report
DVLA Inspection (depends on office whether this is true)
Insurance cert'
IVA pass
Cheque for registration and road tax.
Some other stuff I probably forgot but there's a list on the V55
From what you've said you're looking at a Q but DVLA might feck up and give you what you want.

Cheers Adi for your clear explanation! I have got my hear around it now. I don't want an age related plate so no need for the v5. A new plate
would be good but happy with a Q plate I shall fill in a V55/4 take the receipts I have and see how I get on.
