Ariel Atom Mirrors - IVA?
Hey all, I bet you know the answer to this......
I've seen these advertised:

I like the look of them, seem good value, easy for mounting on my car etc.
I emailed to ask about IVA, guy said he didn't know but said they're fitted on all Ariel Atom's from new now (and they are on their
website) so they are road legal.
Does anyone know if they've been IVA'd?
They look ok, maybe the usual possible sharp edges around the housing, etc.

Get them to check mirror dimensions. Rest looks ok to me.

Aaah, good point
The 70mm high bit looks like a fail........
I've asked for the sizes.

Hmmm....
Yeah, they're about 110mm x 44mm, so fail on one of the tests.
Shame that, they looked good!

Exterior mirror glass minimum sizes for IVA are 70mm long x 40mm high (Indirect vision 08)
He has sold all the black ones and has only 3 pairs of the matt silver left. I just ordered a pair

You missed the extra part tho....
An exterior mirror must be a minimum of 40mm high and 70mm long, and be able to incorporate a measurement parallel to the height of the
rectangle at least 70mm in length within the lens. (see note 2 & figure 1)

Yeah, that was what I thought...
But as said it's the 70mm parallel to the vertical which trips it up.
Shame...
