Receipts?
I've been making a locost out of bits of different cars, some reclaimed metal and (mainly) new metal. Being given a Q plate is fine.
The question is do I have to produce receipts for everything for the registration or SVA? For the majority of stuff I haven't got them.
Thanks for your thoughts.

If you are going for a Q then no not all reciepts, but you should have some for the dvla to prove you didn't nick anything!

Just make them up in ms-word and copy (roughly) the format of the others.
Remember to change the paper type, font and size, as that's a right giveaway

I had no receipts whatsoever!!! DVLA didn't like it but hey... don't think they could refuse to register a car unless they could prove it
was nicked stuff....
Anyway, does an Ebay receipt prove the stuff's not nicked?..... I'll be looking at Ebay over the next few weeks to try and find the stuff
that got nicked out of my car last night- thieving scumbags. Nicked the front of my stereo (its way old but works) and a bag containing my
stethoscope, blood pressure cuff etc.... Reckon they'll get 30 quid for the entire lot if they're lucky- going to cost me about 400 to
replace the lots....

Handwritten? Paypal?
Some stuff are things that I've picked up on ebay or have saved from cars that I used to own - not always easy to show where they've come
from.
Are Paypal receipts and handwritten receipts viewed as acceptable?

Well if I find out who did it they won't be feeling well!!! I've got a sudden desire to explore the "like treats like"
theories afforded by homeopathy and I think their butt is suffering from lead poisoning... On the upside found a cheaper supplier so its only
going to cost me £245.85.... But, then again, I could build a car for a little bit more than that!!! Oh well, I knew when the windscreen went on so
easily yesterday that I'd pay for that bit of good luck!!!

The main ones to worry out are the engine & gearbox (to prove age mainly for emissions) and chassis (or materials used in building it)

It'll be alright then...
Seems like the receipts are handy but not vital then ...
Cheers all

LVLA only wanted to see my steel receipt for the steel to prove I made my own chassis, I took over 200 in to show!
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation
