I am repacking my can with rockwool.

Could anyone please tell me how dense the packing needs to be.
My main aim is to reduce the dbs.

I have only ever purchased the repack material pre rolled on a tube to slide into the silencer. The density I would describe as with a hard push you could compress to 50%.

Does that make sense?

A slight taper at the end of the can will help with dbs but you will soon find that induction roar takes over. In which case an airbox is really the only way to go.

Thanks for your help.

Will try it and see.

Don't think I will be able to get it down to Donnington level's.
