This cant be right?
I bought my new 12 month tax disk, taking my car off sorn, on 31st december. Received it today and it is valid until 31st november 08. This cant be
right? Thought id check before having a go at some welsh teenager at dvla.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Sounds right. Its valid for 12 months from the beginning of the month you buy it in. Unless you are renewing your tax disc, in which case you can do
it any day after the 15th of the month. If its a new disc or from sorn it starts from the beginning of the month its purchased in.

When did your previous tax disk expire?? I thought if you were still on your existing disk you could purchase the new one up to two weeks prior to its
start date as mentioned above??

Buy it from a DVLA office and you can buy the extra days. I did it when my car was new and didn't want to wait to register it. Too late now
though.

i cant see the logic in this one 12months = 12months in my dicionairy....
sow if date of purchase is 1-12-2007 + 12months = 31-11-2008 or 1-12-2008
i would complain by an EU instance
