SVA driver exit requirements?
Does they SVA specify any requirements for the entrance/exit of a vehicle.
Is there a max time to exit the vehicle?
For example if i built a small cockpit single seater with a five point harness what should i bear in mind for exiting the car?

Dopnt forget that the harness has to be able to undo if you lean into it and use 1 finger to push the release button....all clasps should pop out
without delay

what a scary concept, the inspector standing over you with a stopwatch as you fumble out your car falling flat on your face (happened to me a few
times at petrol stations, buggy’s are awkward add the odd diesel spill and… )
Points for Style, Composure and lack of injuries
What about a smoke evacuation test and an escape chute?

I'm not building a kit, but its something that has intreagued me seeing the tight cockpits some cars have. Imagine you were in an accident and
the car caught fire, how quickly could you get out, maybe I'm a bit claustrophobic having such thoughts, but, I'd want to be out pretty
sharpish.

I’m surprise there aren’t more requirements in regards to flame-retardant interior fabrics and foams, requirement to carry a fire extinguisher,
approved and tested fuel tanks etc etc… considering how fiercely a car burns I’d have thought it a much more important issue than the radius of your
dash switches.
I burned an old caravan last night, couldn’t get within 20ft of it due to the heat, don’t think I’ll ever sleep in one again

The most like cause/point of fire in any vehicle involved in an accident is from brake fluid onto a hot exhaust manifold.
Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

i like the way mr W brings everything back to his so called "Whippys Angels" (this is what im calling them now) at work that we still
have NO evidence of!!
