you can insure anything for the right price.

I expect you to pay 500 this year and 300 next year, without knowing your history. I paid 280 odd for my bec at 27.

Fancy insuring a Pinto engine!! I wouldnt bother till you have fitted it into a car myself!!

Plenty have insured cars at 21 anyway so ring around the usual suspects - try a search here for similar threads (and if its a 2nd car then maybe add an older driver - maybe with you as the 2nd named driver!!).

Im 24 and have a policy on a R1 stuart taylor which cost me £300. The policy is with sureterm and is fully comp, 3000 miles and an agreed value in case anything happens!! I think you will expect to pay about £200 for a pinto from what the insurers were saying when I phoned up. HTH

better, yourself as first driver and your mum (or any other woman) as 2nd driver. i did this and it brought mine down by £100.

anyway, when i was 24 i bought a BMW 328, insurance on the (2.8 engine) was £480. 12,000 miles a year. maybe that gives you a bit of a guide?

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I'm 23 with tweaked 2 litre pinto, my last renewal was £475 with adrian flux, limited to 3000 miles.

They arent fussed what mods the engine has...

I'm worried about this too, im still building, but insuring anything when you're 20 and a bloke is a quick way of emptying my bank balance!! My 1.1 106 (with all of 50bhp) costs me £450, i recently got offered a low mileage 300zx for less than a grand but the lowest insurance i could find was nearly £3k! I can't wait to be old!
