getting to sva???
right. i know if a car isnt mot'd you can drive it still aslong as your going to the mot station. but obviously when the cars not even been
sva'd, people talk about driving to their sva test centre but i dont understand how when you havnt got numberplats or anything?? whats the crack
with it?? thanks.

You can legally drive your car to VOSA for the SVA Test without number plates but it must be insured on the chassis number.
The problem with this is that because of the combined data base some insurance companies will only insure on the chassis number for 2 weeks. If you
are unlucky to fail SVA you might struggle to sort out the problems and get a retest within the time limit.
Although I trailered my car to SVA, I think it's a good idea to drive it there and give everything a chance to bed in and settle down. My Tester
said that a higher percentage of cars driven to the test passed emissions than those trailered.
