Yay im legal

Picture the scene...........
Message left on answer machine this morning to say that my registration has been successfull and my docs are awaiting collection.

Wait at DVLA,

Get called to desk,

Me
'Hi, i have come to collect some registration documents for my kit car'

Cow behind desk
'...Sigh...and exactly what registration documents have you come for'

Me
long pause and deep calming breath,

'gave her my name and chassis number etc'

she then went off to have a 'look'

came back to tell me that they were not ready.........................

pissed off isnt the phrase, i was boiling but managed ot have another deep breath and got to the bottom of what the problem was,

there was a big pile of docs awaiting tax disks to be printed inc mine.

I asked why a message was left saying they were ready and i got the 'i dont know' treatment.

I had to ask her to take mine from where it was in the pile and print the disk...........

not once did she offer to do it, she wold have been quite happy for me to have swallowed it and gone away and come back in 2 days time when they managed to get to my disk.

I am disgusted with the way that place is run and will be writing to complain about my experience with them.

There is a sign at the side which states that

'our staff will not tollerate verbal and physical abuse'

if they had things in order and knew what the hell they were doing then there would be no need for that sign.

BTW i got a letter from them ysterday saying i am booked for a chassis viewing on the 18th Sept, i had it done on the 31st Aug

Right shower of poo they are.

anyway i can now drive my car on the road woohoo

hopefully with plates on it will sell a bit more easily and quickly too

It seems a real shame that such an exciting moment is always ruined by the incompetence of the DVLA.

Well done anyhow, now go and enjoy your car
