steering wheel padding
Afternoon all
Looking at my steering wheel, I'm not sure if it will pass SVA. Around the horn push is a nice large raised radiused section. The three spokes
are mainly padded from the wheel end except about and inch on each spoke.
The edges of the spoke are blunted, will I need padding for these for SVA? and if so what sort of thing will the examiner find acceptable? I was
thinking of some self adhesive doam wrappped around each spoke.
Any help much appreciated as usual.
Cheers
Nigel

Hi Nigel,
I used "U" trim on the small areas of my steering wheel that were exposed and they passed with no problems.
Regards
Bob

so for clarification is it only the edges of the exposed metal spokes they're bothered with not the flat metal surace facing the driver?
