Donor V5? What happens?
Another V5 Q while I'm on...
When I regged my MNR on an 08 as brand new the DVLA office kept the donor V5 but it still appears on the website as unlicensed...
How worried should I be? or should I contact the girl at the DVLA and ask about it??

They should keep it, but should also record it as permanently scrapped.
How that shows on the interweb and whether it's right or wrong I don't know.
I'd get in touch and remind the nice people

...But then you can't build a car from donor parts and register it as new. New registration is only available if all major components are new
with the exception of one, which must be "reconditioned as new"...unless DVLA screwed up and it's incorrectly registered.
Haven't we been here before?

V5 just proofed the engine origin for SVA and as a receipt at DVLA along with the reconditioning receipt for the engine..
They checked my paperwork, looked at the car, all my build pictures and said enough was new for an 08. Log book states...
"KIT BUILD/CONVERTED - ASSEMBLED FROM PARTS ALL OF WHICH MAY NOT BE NEW"
All major components on my car were brand new.

Be afraid, very afraid.
Was donor Sorn's and in your name. Hopefully you will get reminder iof its not scrapped off properley. In that cas eget in touch with Kelly
again. No harm in making enquiry now though to avoid the fine.
