70mph? no roads any faster than that, or how about 115mph as a design limit based on aerodynamics?

Seems to me 115 is the brickwall:

They only want to know so that they can check that your tyres are suitable rated, and thaat your speedo goes high enough.

Don't quote too low a top speed, as they'll ignore it and decide on their own figure. I said 125mph - my tyres were rated for 130mph and the speedo went to 130 too.

Before anyone says anything - 125 is optimistic, to say the least!

My R1 Vortx will do 120 at the red line as proven at Silverstone. It would have gone faster if I'd revved it more. Mr Dyno said 152 BPH at the flywheel. How much less power does the fazer have? Not much I shouldn't think. I don't have a windscreen, which helps in the top speed stakes, I'm told.

I put 115 on my SVA form because 2 of the tyres I had on then were rated at 118 MPH. He didn't question it at all.

I've seen 127mph at the redline in top. A better ratio diff would have seen a higher top speed, but would have taken more "track" to get to.
