sva/mot/registering in edinburgh
right...im kinda in a bit of a muddle... do you need to have an mot to register it?
i was hoping to get one before sva to highlight any problems...
also-to get the chassis number stamped on, where do you take it?i asked the mot place of they could do it before the mot, but they said no...
should i just wait till after sva to get it motd?

you dont need a mot
go to sighthill and ask for them to give you a chassis number.
then ask one of us to stamp a plate out for you to weld on to chassis
apply for sva
and go to newcastle or bishopriggs

definately no mot required no matter what the dvla may tell you, your chassis number just has to be 100%individual.
as i did with my last car lots of us make up the chassis number and stamp it to the chassis.and then quote that number on all relivant paperwork.
i had no problems doing all this with me last car(age related)
sva at bishopbrigs,no problem experience.
dvla nightmare at glasgow for 3 months, canceled it and went to edinburgh, done in 15 minutes.
