MoT & Registration

Sorry, I know it's come up 1000's of times b4, but they seem to keep moving the goalposts.
Just spoken to DVLA to get my V55/5 pack to register the Furore & was told that amongst the other bits & pieces I will need an MoT - I queried this as having just had SVA didn't think it sounded right (& I'm sure I didn't get an MoT last time I did this but that was nearly 4 years ago), went & checked with his supervisor & confirmed I'll need an MoT as it is a rebuilt vehicle (V55/5) not new (V55/4).
Has anyone who's done the registration process RECENTLY please confirm or deny?

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

Just spoke to Paul Jepson - the guy who deals with all your paperwork for £35 - have to say he was very helpful seeing as he wasn't earning a penny out of me. He says no MoT required!
His advice is to ignore anything Swansea say & deal purely with your local DVLA ofice!
