4500 only if you can prove its an NAE engine, i think i put 5200.
The top speed of 120 is correct the SVA examiners are looking at Sierra based kits with a Pinto as having a top speed of 118 they have seen so many
they know. Top speed is only for the tyre speed ratings.
The 4500 is for exhaust noise so is suppose you could put that on the forms they can only insist you go a little higher for the noise test.

120mph and 5200rpm got me through SVA without a problem.
In reality 120mph is a little optimistic, more like 110-112 on the road.
My self imposed rev limit is 6250rpm on my fully rebuilt, but standard Pinto with a DGV carb.
