I have resigned to the fact that I will have to do IVA
The plan was to try to get ready for SVA but I have too much to do to achieve this and to make things worse I have to work away from home for a bit!
Anyone else lkely to be going to IVA in the early stages? I suppose the only thing that is going in my favour is that I at least have a car engined
kit! Has the price finally been fixed? and what is the last date to apply for SVA?
thanks

I believe its 28th Feb for last Apply date for SVA for last tests around 28th April, however i could be a few days out.

i think ed is correct, but by the sounds of it april the 28th will be fully booked if your hoping to go in last minute like everyone else, including
me. I think you have 6 months too to have a re test under sva rules if i understand it correctly. Hopefully some of us will make the dead line

Yep, I'm expecting an IVA now. After the head of one of my seat harness bolts sheared . So much for the supplied bolts. Still at least its
better than it going in a collision.

Is it going to cost you 400 quid or less to hire somebody to help finish? If so, do it, and forget IVA... Advantage: you are on the road sooner for
the same $$$

Looks like its IVA for me aswell. Ive been rushing the build recently to meat the deadline but spending every week night and saturday in the garage is
too much and just wears me down. For me part of the enjoyment is building aswell as driving and i dont want to cut corners.

Yep, IVA for me too.
Had hoped, but I'm currently sat in a Hotel room in India on a business trip - no chance to nip to the garage

Yeh I am giving up on sva
Winter is my busy time at work.
I am still working on it, did yesterday and will do some more to day.
So the question is ? If I have built it to sva what am I going to add for iva ?
The way I see it. Cec
Full exhaust shield ?
certificated Imobilizer?
And what elts ?

Also, i forgot to say about price, but the price guide has been given around £400-450.
The Exhaust stuff was taken off the recent draft, so hopefully it will stay like that. I am just going to continue for SVA rules and then change bits
and bobs whereas needed.

I think i'm going to press on and try for sva. But I think if most people saw the stage i am at with the build they would think i'm mad.
The way i see it is i need to get the rollcage and exhaust fitted then i can put the side and scuttle on then sort the wiring. I think I have gathered
most of the parts needed to finish so time is the main problem.

IVA for me too. THought about a b***s out effort and sod the cost to get ready for SVA but like it has already been said, I want to enjoy the build
and certainly don't want to cut corners
It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......
