i wouldn't bother e-mailing, faxing or posting to the DVLA or VOSA, get on the telephone and speak to someone. if you ask nicely maybe they will do it on the same day for you. worth a try for the sake of a phone call

Even better go there in person and pester them to agree to do it on the day you want.... If they get the impression you won't go away until they agree it's amazing what you can get people to do

Its your risk making a 'detour'. I ask my local office if I could stop on the way. I plan on going to mitcham SVA and wimbledon DVLA which is technically on the way so no detour needed, they still did not recomend it at all and may well deny me and inspection if they feel something illegal is afoot. Im tempted to get it trailered from sva to dvla and then round the corner. HAHAHA look at me plannig all this and i havent even got an SVA date yet (my app has been delivered.... so royal mail say) nor is the car ready.........

Gonna be a busy month.....

mine told me I couldnt. I had to submit the paperwork first and when they were happy with the paperwork they would give me an inspection date.

The paperwork included the MAC

And they will only do inspections at the office no home inspection or at sva test station
