IVA Receipts......

As i am building the MK as i am sure everyone who is building something will do, i am filing the receipts in a folder for the day of reckoning.

I work at a car dealership and buy parts at trade from motor factors and pay cash on delivery. The invoices are made out to the dealership as this means I get my parts at trade rather than retail. Will this get picked up on when send the receipts off and cause me problems?

Pete.

Potentially Yes, they would be looking for receipts with your name on, so they can decide if your a company or not.

But then its the DVLA, so god knows really....

Slightly off topic, but some-one on here built the car in the garage were they worked and had plenty of photos, problem they had was convincing authorities it was an amateur build

They didnt believe mine was an amature build. After many phone calls and photo's of every part of the build they did.

I built mine at work (independent garage)and had invoices with the work details on for the same reason. I only sent reciepts (copies) for the major components along with a note explaining that it was built at work. My build photos also showed it in the workshop. I also included a reciept for "private use of workshop space".
All came back within a week, approved.
