Will they MOT it?
Get my R1 tomorrow, ready to run!
Ive booked an MOT for next Tuesday but i havent had the new V5 back from the DVLA yet (its now a 998cc R1 not a 1700cc x-flow).
Will they still MOT the car?

Q plate is visible smoke test only for emissions.

Don;t MOT before the SVA or you have to MOT every YEAR instead of 3 years with no MOT
Scot's do it better in Kilts.

I think it's a post-SVA engine swap.

Its got a V5 already - safe to say its definately post-SVA.
One thing though - if the V5 isnt yet back, the DVLA may well be writing back requesting an engineers report to confirm the engine change. They
generally request a receipt for fitment but seeing as it was done at home, this isnt obviously an option. Its well worth asking the MOT test station
to confirm on headed paper that the engine has been changed. Ask them to pop the engine number and capacity on the letter.

Maybe i should have put more details guys.
Its on a "Q"
Doesnt need an SVA as its 20yrs old and ive got bored of the x-flow, so its just an engine swap to the R1
I informed the DVLA and they wrote back saying i need a report on the engine change from a garage/AA etc.
This was sent to the DVLA 2 weeks ago.
Looking at the weather, i wont be having an MOT this week as the weather forcast is rain, rain and rain.

UPDATE.
MOT'd this morning............ failed
I left the passenger seat in and forgot to fit the new harness!
Examiner was great... "take it out now and i'll pass it, then put it back in the carpark on the front of the MOT garage"
Just rang DVLA to chase new V5 - will be another 2-4 weeks
