It would appear that i am in possesion of a MAC!!!!

Hey guys,

I had a jolly nice trip to Chadderton today for a second bite at the cherry, and have come away with a MAC!!!!

was a little touch and go as 2 very minor things weren't quite right, but he let them go!

plus when he did the db tst he said it was a bit close at 101db, we asked if that was a fail and he said with a smile "the rules say OVER 101db would have failed"

think he must have got out of the right side of the bed anyway!

loved the drive their and back, even though it doesn't pull past 4000rpm for some reason. but i don't mind, my replacement head with FR33 cam and kent vernier pulley arrived today (at a massive cost of £87!), so that'll go on before it gets rolling roaded and set up properly.

just gotta dick around with the DVLA now. I called 2 weeks ago and asked for a registration pack, and they said it'd go out first class and i'd have it in a day or so. not had anything so called today and they say there's a 2 week waiting list on sending forms out!!!! that does not bode well!

still smiling though!

But most (all?) tintops have a VIN plate in the windscreen these days don't they? Or are you saying that someone might copy it and use it to register a car first?

Good luck with DVLA! I passed SVA 21st April and still haven't got my stuff through. It finally went for inspection on Tuesday but I got a phonecall when it was there asking for some details as he'd lost the ones I'd sent originally and when I rang on Thursday I was told he'd been too busy to process my paperwork. I bloody hope he's done it today!

Well done!

How can it take 2 weeks for them to pick up or print out about 4 forms and pop them in an envelope in the internal post system!

Phone them again and ask for the codes of the forms you need, then download the forms. They're pretty much all online I believe.

Saves a step and they might be keen as it'll save them hassle too!

HTH,
James

The V55/5 or V55/4 is not on line as it has a carbon copy page...
