IVA front view

will these bike carbs and filter be a problem come the IVA

i am planning to cover the sharp edges with a bulge and just leave the foam will it get through the forward vision part of the test

hmm doubt it, why not "for the test only" just fit some gauze mesh over the inlets and leave the foam filter at home. No point in making life hard for yourself when you don't really need too. If you did that then you'd only need a very small temporary bulge.

I have the same issue a plenum that sticks up to poke through the bonnet by a centimetre or so and was thinking about a mesh to cover it for IVA.... What are the rules about sharp edges and mesh. Ive got expanded mesh from B&Q with 5mm diamond shaped holes... when you rub your hand over it you wouldnt call it sharp but each wire would be considered sharp on its own.

wire mesh sounds a good idea (so long as the mesh is small enough) that way i wouldnt need to buy some gauze mesh to go over the inlet just surround the whole thing in mesh wouldnt then need to make a bulge out of fibre glass

still got to cut a hole in the bonnet
is there any way to get around that lol
if not how do i mark were i cat the bonnet
