At last! Pre - IVA photos!
After a twenty five month enjoyable build, I'm ready to apply for the IVA test.
I invite your comments / criticisms / observations before I post the forms.

I thought mine was close but yours looks so more finished.
As for iva they love edges. I would check the edges on the front of the mirrors.
just wondering why on the rear bumper ?

Looking good. Are the upper seat belt mount buckles compliant, can't see from the pics? Can't see any other potential problems.
Can't see the bias bar, is it locked off properly (and adjusted )?

Looks very tidy.
The chassis which is exposed at the nose cone may need to be covered depending on tester. I'll have a look for some pics of my fix.
Battery positive needs a cover on it (so does the starter)
Are your front indicators wide enough?

I'd go along with what daviep said. Are the mirror mount/bases radiused enough?
Looks very tidy though. Get the form posted.

suspension mounts on the front may require some trim, radius on mirrors cant see whether you ave covered the bottom of the shocker. Other than that
it looks a cracking build

In the photo, the perforated metal grille on the bonnets looks like its proud of the surface - is it radiused?

i think side repeaters have to be a certain distance from the front of the car? they might have to move forward a bit, otherwise, looks good
edit, they have to be within 2600mm (2.6m) of the front of the car. think they might need moving

Nice build but your dash looks like it has sharp radius, and the bottom edge needs to be >19mm radius unless soft (then 5mm I think)..

Good point, I missed that, definite fail.
5mm radius if padded, but the padding needs to be quite stiff, ordinary foam NFG.

Sharp edges on the flats of the lambda sensor will need covering. I wrapped mine in an offcut of heat wrap.
Looks a tidy build. Nice choice of engine

Another thing- are those bezels round the handbrake and gear lever more than 5mm thick, or if they are do they stand off the surrounding surface more
than 5mm, because if they are/do they will have to meet the radius requirements.

PHEW! well, guys I can't thank you enough for all the constructive help and positive comments you have posted, and I'll try and answer
most of them now.
Mirrors: several of you ( Big Wasa / Interestedparty / Austinman / Adithorp ) mentioned the mirror edges - yes, they're
wickedly sharp at the moment and I'm not sure what to do them in - probably rubber 'U' edging splayed, trimmed
and superglued?
Also Adithorp pointed out the bases - good point - they aren't the 2.5mm radius, but they only project 4mm from
the surface and they are pretty rounded in any case.
Upper seatbelt mountings: (interestedparty) yes, they are edged with rubber and nut-capped!
Bias Bar: (also interestedparty) - no, I haven't set or wired it - how on earth is the home builder supposed to set up and
test this when it isn't allowed on the road!!! hope to do this at the test
Chassis by the nose cone: (Daviep) yes, you're right - I hadn't looked at these - I have now - and they need covering.
Battery +ve cover: (Daviep) didn't know it needed a cover? - Rubber sock type or plastic 'lid' type? and the starter
motor lead is almost impossible to get at - but I will try!
Front indicators: (Daviep) 400mm from the outer edge of the rear (widest point) is at the centre of the glass. 
Padded Seats: ( near - neighbour in Locost circles! - Daniel Mason) the seats are second hand westfield ones from ebay
and are dead comfy! And as for helping building YOUR car.....by the time I have got mine on the road, then
worked through all the other jobs I have been shelving over the last few months - decorating, painting, bed
to build for Xmas etc... yours will probably be finished! (But I won't rule it out!) 
Suspension mounts: (Austin man) - yes, I think you are right - the front upper will need fettling, but the bottom of the
shockers are in the new 'exempted area' between the wishbones, so should be ok.
Side repeaters: (Nash / Jabbahut / blake82) - I'm pretty chuffed with these - tiny LED ones, as Jabba and blake spotted
mounted at the front of the rear arches - actually 2.44 metres from the tip of the nosecone.
Grille on bonnet: (hughpinder) - flush with bonnet (0.75mm thick) - blunted edge - but I'm not sure whether the rule which
says all sheetmetal must have a 180degree returned edge might apply here (and the exhaust exit surround, and
the rear arches s/s protectors) - anybody clarify?
Dashboard lower edge: (Bluemoon and my old friend interestedparty) Firstly, the left side has a 40mm plastic drainage
pipe screwed, bonded and covered with vinyl. The centre reaches the tunnel, and the right side slopes so
sharply upwards there is nowhere to put a 40mm radius on. I'm hoping they will allow it!! The camera angle
makes it look worse than it is, though.
Lambda sensor: (Martyn_16v) another quick pop to the garage - Yep, just contactable - so another job on the list -
get some heat wrap - could do with some under the bonnet anyway.
Engine choice - (Also metioned by Martyn_16v) just thought I'd mention that my choice of engine was the result of one
of my first posts on Locostbuilders - I was guided by the collective brain and experience of the forum.
I think it was a great choice, too.
I now have a list of 9 jobs to sort before the IVA - the forms are nearly complete, going to do some photocopying of reciepts
at work over the weekend, and will apply on monday.
Once again, thanks to all you guys mentioned above and the ones I haven't
(femster87, NigeEss, Speedyxjs, SteveLovelock and last but by no means least Richard Thomas - also a neighbour who donated me a trailer).
Also congratulations and thanks to ChrisW and Fozzie for running such a fantastic forum!

Sorry - missed one item:
Gearlever and h/b bezels (interested party) - they are from Europa and are only 4mm thick - so I don't think they will fail.

Exterior mirrors are exempt from the external projections check. Its on page 2 chapter 16 of the IVA manual.

Mine doesn't have any covers on the +ve of battery, starter or alternator, and it wasn't mentioned at all in my test.

My examiner obviously interpreted the manual differently
From the IVA manual:
All electrical components must be secure be of adequate capacity and insulated as required as to prevent short circuiting during operation.
For the sake of 50 pence I don't think I would risk a fail

I have some rubber cable ends on a battery isolation switch I'm not fitting so, it won't even cost me 50p. What would be the point of me
posting pre IVA pics for comments, and then ignoring the advice from the replies?
