Pedals & fuel tank
Anyone know if there is a requirement for the spacing of the pedals relative to one another?
ie. 1) do they have to be a certain distance apart
2) do they have to be all the same distance from the driver
On many cars I've driven the loud pedal seems to be slightly further away from the driver than the brake pedal - is this a requirement to aid in
locating the brake pedal quickly?
Can't find anything in the IVA manual and probably just paniking a bit before our re-test, but thought it was worth asking the question.
Also, do fuel tank straps have to have rubber liners to prevent chafing, or is it a valid point not to use a rubber liner and use the tank strap as
the earthing for the tank?
Cheers!

The pedals don't have any specified spacing.
My tank straps dont have rubber liners either, although they do have strips of foam tape between them.

No requirements for the pedals (other than anti-slip on brake and clutch). In fact you could even put them in a different order; It was once common
for throttle to be in the middle once upon a time. Having the throttle lower than the brake makes it easier to heel and toe with the brake
depressed.
If you have an ally tank and steel straps you'll want to put something to insulate the different metals and prevent corrotion. Not sure
it's an IVA requirement though.
