What paper work when buying pre-owned?

If you're buying a pre-owned kit that's already been SVA/IVA'd and registered what paperwork should you expect (and legally) be required to have?

I'm guessing the logbook should match the car - and not still be registered as a sierra or cortina or such like.

Cheers

Same as any other car.

Reg doc and MOT if required.

Obviously it should be correctly registered ie an MK Indy should be called an MK Indy not a Dutton or a Ford escort or a Triumph Herald or a Locust or anything else - check the chassis numbers have not been tampered with etc. etc.

Do an HPI check check the MOT certificate

look for build history/documentation which establishes that it is authentic.

Cheers
