Finally ready for SVA
Hi
I have finally finished and ready for SVA. I have been told if I apply this week I should get one next week.

Very well put together.
Few points.
Not sure about the radius of the rocker switches in the middle of the dash.
Take some edge trim for the inside of the windscreen uprights just in case.
Is the boot lock flush with the lid ?
Are the top seatbelt mounts above the slots in the seat ?
PS whats that thing floating above your engine ???????

Hi Keith
Yet another stunning car on the Locost forum. I was beaten to it with the comments on the rocker switches & seatbelt mounts. Also poss edge prob
on the fuel filler. Carefully check the front indicators for max 400mm from the outer body - in most cases rear arches!

NICE LOOKIN CAR
RADIUS ON FILLER CAP IS OK BUT CAN ONLY PRETUDE OUT BY 5 MM TAKE GASKET OFF AND WIILL BE FINE

Front of the ali plate that your headlights are fixed on. Is there some trim around it?

Thanks for the comments.
The rocker switches are from europa spares and are sold as being sva compliant so I will have to see what happens.
Well spoted on the seatbelts. I have checked them and the drivers side is fine but the passenger side is 10mm above the mounting point due to the
slots in the seat being 10mm higher than the driver. As the seat is mounted on spacers I can make some thiner ones for the passenger side so reduce
the seat height.
The boot lid lock is proud of the surface but it is radiused.
I will remove the gasket from the filler cap. thanks for that one.
The Ali plate that the head lamps are on is a 10mm thick CNC machined plate that is radiused 5mm all the way round from both sides.
And (Snuggs) the thing floating above the engine is the latest performance add on for a pinto, a set of screwdriver bits in the grass lol.

Impressive motor, very impressed, only think i could see(apart from the one mentioned above) is possibly your flexi's to the front calipers may
need clipping up.
oh and do you need a centre mirror for SVA??, not sure myself.

also the flexys look to have banjos on the end.
istr you needed to prove the caliper had been machined flat, but it was said on here, so may have been suggestion, or just thinking aloud.
anyway, it should do well at sva, turned out as it is.

Where did you get your oil filler cap and oil catch tank?
Like the boot lid, i need to make something like that post SVA.

Filler Cap
Hi Greggors84
The catch tank is a mocal one I picked up on ebay, burton also sell it but it is very expensive.
The filler cap I made but I am lucky as part of my job is running our model shop which has full cnc milling & turning facilites, which can be very
handy.

Keith,
Very nice car looks really nice.
I passed with a similar fuel filler & the brake pipe banjo joints on the front But i did have to cable tie the flexi's front and rear to
the wishbones to ensure they did not rub anything. Also was ok with the shock adjuster facing in.
I have the same seats and passed with them sitting about 20mm off the floor on spacers (about 13 washers taped together)
I used the luego headlamp brackets, but had to move them out by 20mm and the headlamp up 25mm to get the viewing angles correct.

Hi Chris
The mirrors are from a Suzuki GSX 600/750 as for SVA compliant they should be as most other bike mirrors seem to ok.
