CVH engine management unit

I have a 1.6 pinto and a 1.8 CHV EMU and im thinking about combining them. I have worked out i should only need 6 pins off the EMU as the standard EMU that should be on the 1.6 pinto has 6 pins. but i need to know if the crank sensor, air flow sensor are actualy needed? or can i just connect them together?

It will fit wheres me hammer?

can't answer the question I'm afraid, but I do think you may be making things harder than you need to. Would it not be beter to use the standard 1.6 Pinto electronic ignition set-up consisting of ignition amplifier, coil and inductive discharge dizzy?

Designed to work, proven to work and so simple to install.

Just my take on it
