Bike headlights on car

OK here we go. I have posted on here before to discuss the motor bike lights on a car issue.

The concensus of opinion was that the lights on a bike when changing from high beam to low beam change in an up/down pattern.

Might this problem be overcome by rotating the bulb in the housing so that it dips to the nearside of the car? Also does anyone know what angle of dip is required?

I know the easy answer is to use 'normal' lights for sva and change later, but I am probably going to integrate the lights into the bodywork.

opinions please.

At the end of the day, the correct thing you need for SVA is for the headlight's glass to be marked with an arrow illustrating the 'dip' is to the right. If you don't have that then you fail.

Now, having said that, some people have got away with rotating the glass.

So you pays your money and takes you choice.... and risk!

Cheers,
James

Thanks for the info I didn't know about the arrow.
The shape prevents turning the lens. Also the lens is plastic and e-marked. I wonder if i could retro fit the arrow?? (to the left)

Read Steve @ sVc post on THIS THREAD. It should answer most if not all your queries.

thanks for that, I will see if I can 'make them' comply with the regs. Not sure I like the idea of not being insured if they are not correct.
