I etched mine on the o/s top chassis rail, trying to stamp it just seems to buckle the tubes.

Engraved plate, rivetted in the same place as Steves, sufficient for my SVA
Also now stamped in a secret location ;D
IMHIO 1" chassis tube will not stand being stamped.

Stamped mine on the front top chassis rail, behind the radiator. Then realised it wasn't visible unless the nose cone was removed. So stamped it again on the rail inside the passenger compartment in front of the seat.

I put a jack under the car directly beneath the rail to stop the 'bounce' as I was stamping, the one inside the car turned out dead clear.

Thanks,
Its a early version of the ZX10.
Its a GPZ1000 RX. 1987 ish. Walks through SVA emissions because of the year, Lots of room above it aswell.
They still put out about 125 BHP.
Same bottom end as the later ones.
It goes well.

Cheers.
Steve.

Stamped mine on a chassis rail near the bulkhead then again on a rivet-on manafacturers plate attached to the bulkhead itself....
Tube didn't seem to mind being stamped but then I did use a brand new stamp set and I was fairly gentle...

I was told by my DVLA Inspector that it was a requisite now (Since 1987 or something like that) that all cars needing stamping so that you can see them on a plate or something similar (like we all do) but that it was also a requirement that they are stamped in/on a non removable part of your car!

Similar to the people have said above - But I thought it was worth mentioning the fact that my inspector (Chester Office) said that it HAD to be done.

Mine was on a plate on the engine cradle and then in the floor near the drivers seat. Floor supported on a jack to stop from just denting the Ali.

hth
Steve
