After a three year rebuild a final question?

Probably not

First off thanks to everyone who over the past two years answered my dumbass questions, and to GaryM (Who's beautifully finished Locost passed SVA today) Mark and Anthony for all the help rebuilding my phaeton since 2005. It has been a real experience and Ive learned a great deal.

Today It passed it's MOT (The Garage owner said it was a really good example of a rebuild)

I was wondering If tomorrow when I tax it I can use a motorbike disk holder inside the car (on the tunnel) or does it have to be on the screen on permanent display in the windscreen? if it's not will I keep being pulled? I dont have or plan to fit a hardtop/hood.

I've got mine on the rear bulkhead, just above the tunnel, between the seats... so if you look from the front, it is totally visible!

The cars been on the road for 3 years, with no problems or questions!

Ive had mine on tunnel in bike holder for 18 months. Removed to fit new padded tunnel cover. Thinking of moving to same location as Fozzie.

It would have to be a tough copper to do you for bad positioning. I reckon theyd be happy that you have tax.

I usually carry mine in my pocket. I must find the time to fit it to the car.

Me too.

And when I was pulled over for being a bit naughty they did ask where it was!

So I produced it and sort of mumbled "you know what it's like with cars like these, people just nick them".

And no more was said about it!

Phew!

I don't suppose you ever leave it on the street, but round here (Bristol) traffic wardens go round in vans mob-handed ticketting untaxed cars & getting them clamped. They do whole neighbourhoods at night

Adding to my original post above..... the tax disc is permanently fixed to the bulk head, and its one of those, that you have to unscrew the front (in a number of places) to get at the tax disc..... I think they are available in Halfrauds, or Demon Thieves.........
