do you headlamps have to work with ign of for sva
i have side light working without ign but not sure
if headlamps must work with ign of can any one help me

i think side lights should work without the ignition being on

dip and main when ignition is on

Short answer...no.

Side lights are normaly wired to work ignition off but not heads. SVA doesn't mention it and I've wired all mine to be ignition on only except the hazards. I know the problems re parking lights etc, but thought it better. Being open means kids can switch them on otherwise and I don't want to come back to a flat battery. Can't remember the last time I used parking lights.
