Local Number for Maindstone DVLA ?
anyone have a local number ( direct ) to the Maidstone DVLA ?
I want to talk to the "expert" there about getting a vin number.

There'll be a published fax number.
Just fax them saying you're building a kit car and would the chassis number "xyz" or whatever be ok.
Ask them to call you.
If you're nice then your 'case officer' as they're called might give you their direct number for future reference.

Go and see them. The expert is a nice lady who will answer all your questions and give you the forms.
The office is in Queen Anne Road behind Sittingbourne Road near the junction with King Street.
The published number (Google) is 0870 850 0007.
Get one for me while you're at it

make it meaningful and unique
you might get grief later if you don't - stories throughout this site of guys with issues over inspections etc

If you are going to the office, dont go first or last week of month and always go late afternoon, otherwise you get tied up with road tax people and
dealers waiting for registrations
