Did VOSA decide?

Hi,

was there ever a decision on the minimum weight for a car minus reverse for the new IVA?

Read about it a while back, but not heard anything since. It will be a right push to get the car finished before then, but I'll be buggered if I'm going to spend out on a reverse!!

I've in the same boat. Now furiosuly trying to get it on the road before April. I'm ignoring all the extra bits I wanted to do, just to avoid buying a split prop and reverse box!

Is it not possible to fit a system as used on caravans that simply engages with the rear wheels and drives them directly...

Should be fairly easy to make it perminant/NOT!

Guy at work make a reverse for a trike.

Motor & drive wheel that is lowered onto tyre tread, and bike winds back wards.
