I reckon someone should buy that, then apply to DVLA for a replacement log book.
Would be interesting for whoever bought the ID
[Edited to add]
I had the idea after having a conversation with Owelly about his Magenta, I didn't want to mention any names, but now he's added to the
thread....

Which suddenly flips, pinning you underneath.
At night the ice-weasels come...

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

When I first spotted my LSR on Ebay, it went for silly money. It was just a rolling chassis and tatty bodywork but it went for £900 IIRC.
It reappeared a few days later for sale as spares with no log book or number plates.
I bought it for £102.
I looked at the first listing and got the reg number and applied for the new V5.
The BiB contacted me to come and have a look at the car as someone else had applied for the logbook.
They came and had a look at the car. I showed them the listings and pictures off Ebay and a few days later I got my V5.
The guy who sold the V5 got an 18 month suspended sentance and the guy who bought the V5 got nothing for his £900.

Nothing in that add to help you get the log book. If he has taken the plates and vin of the chassis I dont see how you can get it.

Looking through his feedback he sold this to someone called ermeto as a buy it now for £250 with V5 and the buyer only took the V5 so he is selling it
again. No pictures but it is on a *** ***V plate.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
