Tonight i havef just removed my X-Flow and Type-9 box to make way for R1 BEC project.
Will i need to change all shocks now due to the weight difference?
Cant you just change the springs.
You will likely need to change the springs to reduce the spring rates at the front.
Changing the springs isnt a hard job but to what rate?
I did a similar conversion over a year ago and still have'nt changed my front springs, a job for this winter though, the car is a bit stiff but i will ring Gaz Shocks where i bought them from and he will send the correct ones.
As a guesstimate, i would say reduce the spring rate by about 20% or so when going to a bike engine, ie if your current springs are 300lb, try a set of 240lb ones.
You don't have to change anything... personally I'd try it running the same springs first. Then if it's too hard, come down.
We had 350's on the front - went down to 250's but we think it's too soft and getting too much body roll so it looks like we're
going back to 350's again.

I went from Kawasaki bike engine to Kseries car engine and type 9, I am still using the same springs and I have a good range of height adjustment
either way up or down,
As said suck it and see,
