I need to fit a uj in the middle of the steering column but the splined part doesnt fit the column (only fits with the help of a big hammer) and i weld it in place?

this 'multitasking' thing that birds claim they can do is all lies anyway... its really just not giving any one thing in particular your full attention

anyway, you can weld it, but with UJ's being cast the way they are, and very thick metal, you might struggle to get enough heat in there

I welded a UJ into my steering column and it melted!! I hadn't spotted the plastic bushes...........beware!
