Indy and solid disks

OK so on with the quest for converting front end to solid disks from vented..Using a sierra upright

The gauranteed way would be using Sierra 1.6 caliper and disk...but is the carrier the same as on the vented caliper? or will I be left looking for an unobtainium part?

Have heard a rumour that the fiesta MK4 MK5 1.25/1.3 L disks and calipers will bolt up without drama ...anyone done this route that can say for sure?

Looking at brakes international the offset of the disk is a fair bit different, but no dimensions of the calipers given so unable to judge whether it would all just bolt up and line up OK..

I'm sure I could pick up a set of the Fiesta calipers/disks and carriers much easier than a set off a 1.6 Sierra, being that they are a lot more common

...unless someone has a solid setup they fancy swapping for a vented setup?

Regards
Rob

Used all my credits in the shop :-(
And still waiting for the yellow and green powerbands to arrive...

I did it by taking the plunge and going for a set of wilwoods on the front - shiney and simple (bit more pricey though...)

Mine has got 1.6 solid disks at the front 'cause the donor had those. More then enough to stop the car once i sorted out the brake pedal ratio issue on the Indy.

I * think* I got exchange front uprights when MK modified them, but I'm not sure. I think I'd just take the plunge and buy a 1.6 disk + caliper from a scrappy to see if it all bolts straight up. Or maybe someone on here has got a set going spare?
