just been mounting the front wishbone brackets, created a jig and using the wishbones to possition the brackets.
just as a trial i fitted a hub to double check. I would of thought the two wishbones would be parallel, however when i lift the upright so the bottom
wishbone is level the top one is pointing towards the sky by about 20 degrees. Is this right?
Luke
sounds about right. keeps the camber in check
Yes thats right. The top wishbone will also be shorter in order to keep the camber controlled.
Cycle it through up and down and you'll see how the camber changes. Lower the bottom arm below the horizontal and the bottom of the upright
starts to pull in whilst the top is still being pushed out, reducing the negative camber. This keeps the inside wheel upright during cornering with it
being progressively unloaded.
excellent, cheers guys!
Thats how i have done mine. Give you increased camber when the car leans in the corners.
