subaru diffs

i've got a chance of a diff from a '98 subaru legacy 2.2l which i'll put in the spitfire, but i need it to be a slip diff, does anyone know whether this is so? the diff is marked T1 if that helps, i know some of the subaru diffs work with oil and some are 'proper' slips but don't know which are which
thanks for any advice,

I have got an LSD from a Scooby, needs to say L1 on it not T1

Slight thread hijack... Marc - have you weighed the Scoob diff? I read somewhere they were very light, but can't find a definitive answer...

Cheers.

I did some research a while ago and we fitted one in my Westy (not yet finished) - do a search on my user name or have a look at my Westy blog.

Scootz, not exactly light but not heavier than a Sierra diff. Looks lighter due to size but is a cast iron casing.

looking at wyns info sheet it appears most legacy diffs are open, so perhaps i'll leave this one and keep an eye out for an impreza one for the winter 'development' mods
